How to fix a homemaker Allen key to fit into a screw stripped allen wrench?
Please help!
You may have to use a screw extractor. This works better than ruining a good allen wrench and it was perhaps not been unscrewed. The way including a screw extractor is used, you'll need to drill a hole deep enough in the top of the screw extractor to enter How it works is the thread which are reversed so that as you twist the direction you need to unscrew the back, the son tighten in the hole you drilled. Once you have the unscrew you'll be able to replace it with a voucher. If you think you want to avoid spending money to buy an extractor and you have the Allen wrench that you can afford to spend (because it is not really good for anything else after you use it for that), you can try grinding or filing of all six parties, so they taper to a size that is just barely in the hole as it exists in the screw head. If the hole is too rounded, it's really useless to try, but if you think it could work, you will need to be sure the key you use is a size or two larger than the screw was originally made to have. If you used a key large enough and maintained the hexagonal shape so that the end is hardly in the top of the hole so that you can drive it in deeper to prevent slipping when the torque on it to try to get the screws out, it takes work. You will also need to maintain the downward pressure on the tool you turn on the screw. Really, and the best (time-wise) probably the fastest way is to get the screw extractor. Take care.
