Drawing Three

How do I get the chance to take three notes from a bag and have them form a major chord or minor?
So for a math project (we to learn the combinations, permutations, probabilities, etc.), we had to design a game of chance. So the game: there is a bag with 12 balls ping pong representative each of 12 different notes (A, A # / Bb, B, etc.) and one randomly chooses 3 ping-pong in the whole and if the notes can be organized to a major or minor triad, they win. ... So how do I calculate the probability that they will win or draw three notes that make a major triad or Minor?
Well, you have to tell me what combinations of notes are needed to form a major or minor triad. Or you imagine how many ways you can get the desired combination, without regard to order. The number of possible combinations of three that can be captured is 12C3 = 12P3 / 3! = 12 x 11 x 10 / 6 = 2 x 11 x 10 = 220. Thus, the probability of winning is the number of winning combinations possible, divided by 220.

Three D - Graphic Spaces

"Three D – Graphic Scenarios" highlights a current trend in international graphic design. More and more visual designers are staging three-dimensional scenarios and turning them into posters, flyers, book and magazine covers, and animated films. The result is new and evocative pictorial worlds that range from playfully arranged still lifes to room-filling installations. Common to them all is the use of analogue design techniques that give real objects precedence over perfectly simulated computer representations. Edited by Gerrit Terstiege, editor in chief of the design journal form, and designed by the prizewinning Frankfurt-based design studio Pixelgarten, "Three D – Graphic Scenarios" provides an inspiring look at the various drafting techniques and expressive tools associated with its subject. The publication is rounded out by an essay by Steven Heller, for many years the art director of the New York Times, and an interview with the noted graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, one of the leading exponents of this trend.
